PBB Group to expand flour milling business in SE Asia-media

Malaysia's PPB Group plans to spend 140 million Malaysian ringgit ($46.1 million) to double its flour production capacity in Indonesia and Vietnam over the next two years, state news agency Bernama said in a short messaging system alert on Thursday.

PPB Group is an affiliate company of Singapore-listed agribusiness Wilmar International , which has been looking to expand its wheat flour milling business.

Separately, the Edge newspaper quoted PPB Group managing director Tan Gee Sooi as saying the firm wanted to double its Indonesian plant capacity to 2,000 tonnes.
The capacity in Vietnam will also be doubled to 800 tonnes, the newspaper said. ($1 = 3.036 Ringgit). Source: Reuters
