Indonesia says July inflation may be above 0.55 pct m/m

Indonesia's July monthly inflation may be above 0.55 percent, picking up from the previous month, due to higher food prices as the Ramadan festive season nears, statistics bureau chief Rusman Heriawan said on Wednesday.

June inflation picked up to 0.55 percent month-on-month, though slowed to a 12-month low of 5.54 percent year-on-year, providing the central bank room to hold rates again when meeting on July 12. Source: Reuters
