Indonesia stats office sees Jan m/m inflation lower than Dec

Indonesia's statistics bureau said on Friday that it saw monthly January inflation as less strong than December, while inflation would ease in February and March because of the start of the local harvest season.

Rising food prices helped drive the December consumer price index up 0.92 percent month-on-month, above market expectations for a 0.67 percent rise, and pushed annual December inflation to a 20-month high near 7 percent. Source: Reuters
