Outlook HD Capital untuk bulan September 2011

Monthly Strategy-Aug (24-08-2011) (BUY):

Indonesia's Toba Bara eyes up to $400 mln IPO - sources

* Coal miner Toba Bara eyes valuation up to $2 bln - sources

* Toba Bara controlled by former minister and general Luhut Panjaitan
* Hires Morgan Stanley, CLSA, Citigroup, Mandiri as underwriters - sources

Indonesian thermal coal miner Toba Bara Sejahtera plans to raise around $400 million via an initial public offering late this year or early 2012 to tap investor demand in the world's biggest thermal coal exporting nation, four sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

Indonesia's coal output is estimated to rise at least 10 percent annually over the next five years. Industry associations expect production to reach 340 million tonnes this year.

The offering by the miner, controlled by former industry minister and former army general Luhut Panjaitan, would be the third planned by Indonesian coal firms this year.

"The firm is working with its advisers to prepare the IPO and is looking to launch it by the end of the year or early next year," one of the sources said.

Another source said the firm, which produced around 6 million tonnes of thermal coal in 2010 from mines in Kalimantan and is planning to increase output to 9 million tonnes this year, is looking at a market valuation of up to $2 billion.

Toba Sejahtera has appointed Morgan Stanley , Citigroup , CLSA Asia-Pacific Market and local brokerage Mandiri Sekuritas as underwriters, the sources said.

The sources declined to be identified as the deal is not made public yet. All four underwriters declined to comment. Toba Bara was not available for comment.

The IPO would also follow the listing of others thermal coal miners including PT Berau Coal in August 2010 that raised over $150 million and Harum Energy that raised $320 million in October.

Riau Bara Harum, which is also among coal miners that aim to launch an IPO this year, plans to raise up to $500 million from an offering later this year, sources had told Reuters in February. Source: Reuters

Wilmar says buys Indonesian sugar refiner for $104 mln

Singapore's Wilmar , the world's largest listed palm oil firm, acquired Indonesian sugar refiner Duta Sugar International for $104 million in July, the head of its Indonesian unit Hendri Saksti told Reuters on Wednesday.

The firm has previously said it wants to expand by investing at least $1 billion in China, Africa and Indonesia, where it has secured land for sugar plantations. Source: Reuters

Hanhwa Chemical to bid for Indonesia's Sulfindo -source

outh Korea's Hanwha Chemical will join the first round of bidding for Indonesian chemical producer Sulfindo Adiusaha, a source familiar with the matter said, in a potential $700 million deal.

The first-round of bids for Sulfindo are due before the end of this week, with the deal attracting foreign players including Thai industrial conglomerate Siam Cement .
"Hanwha will make a non-binding offer," the source told Reuters, declining to be named because of the sensitivity of the issue.

A Hanwha spokesman said the chemical firm was still looking into the issue but would not comment further.

Sulfindo is controlled by the Victoria Group, owned by Indonesia's Tanojo family, who also own small lender Bank Victoria and brokerage Victoria Securities. Macquarie is the sell-side adviser for the deal, three sources told Reuters earlier. Source: Reuters

Rekomendasi HD Capital, 24 Agustus 2011

Rekomendasi HD Capital untuk perdagangan Rabu, 24 Agustus 2011.
BUY:  BMRI,  ASII, BBRI, BJBR
  • IHSG close (23-08) 3.880.46(+40.84/+1.06%) (Val.Rp.3.6T)
  • Support: 3.830-3.750-3.650, Resistance: 3.950-4.020-4.125

Stock picks:
1.     Bank Mandiri  (BMRI) (BUY) (Target Rp 7.250) (Close 23/08 Rp 6.900)
  • Stabilnya rupiah yang membuat cost of fuding murah (dasar dari pendanaan adalah obligasi RI) serta NPL recovery on track merupakan beberapa katalis positif dari bank BUMN  ini.
  • Entry (1) Rp 6.850, Entry (2) Rp 6.750, Cut loss point: Rp 6.650.

2.    Astra International (ASII) (BUY): (Target: Rp 70.500) (Close 23/08: Rp 67.250)
  • Entry (1) Rp 67.200, Entry (2) Rp 66.700, Cut loss point: Rp 65.500.

3.    Bank BRI  (BBRI) (BUY): (Target: Rp 6.750) (Close 22/08 Rp 6.450)

Adaro Energy Acquired 75% Indonesian Coal Mining for US$ 222.5 Mln

PT Adaro Energy via its subsidiary PT Alam Tri Abadi (ATA), has acquired 75 percent stake of PT Mustika Indah Permai (MIP) from Elite Rich Investment Limited for US$ 222.5 million.
MIP is a coal mining company developing a greenfield coal project in South Sumatera and holds a mining permit, known in Indonesian as an IUP, which was granted in April 2011 for a period of twenty years. The project covers an area of approximately 2,000 hectares.
“Our investment in MIP is part of our drive to create sustainable value from Indonesian coal and achieve our vision to become a leading Indonesian mining and energy group,” said Garibaldi Thohir, president director of Adaro Energy, today.
MIP is one of a number of acquisitions opportunities that, together with organic growth, will help Adaro Energy to achieve 80 million tonnes of production in the medium term.
Adaro Energy’s advisors and engineers visited the area in November 2010 and subsequently carried out a geological and drilling program. Following these and other detailed studies, Adaro Energy decided to pursue a majority ownership in MIP.
Adaro Energy has evaluated the geological information available for MIP and considers that there is significant open cut coal mining potential. The coal geology at MIP was sufficiently uniform. The structure, thickness, and quality of the coal seams were considered well enough defined by the density of drill holes that AE was confident to proceed with the purchase of this potential coal area, even though some incremental technical work is still required before an official statement of Coal Resources and Reserves can be made.
Marston, an international mining consultant, performed the engineering studies of coal potential on which the valuation was based. Adaro Energy also completed a series due diligence drill holes to confirm the structure thickness and quality of the potentially mineable coal seams before completing the purchase.
The additional drilling and coal analysis required to completely meet JORC standards is planned over the next two months; after which, a JORC compliant statement of Resources and Reserves will be issued.

Rekomendasi HD Capital, 23 Agustus 2011

Rekomendasi HD Capital untuk perdagangan Selasa, 23 Agustus 2011.
BUY:  ENRG, GGRM,  ASII, KLBF,
  • IHSG close (22-08) 3.839.75(-3.740/-0.03%) (Val.Rp.3.6T)
  • Support: 3.830-3.750-3.650, Resistance: 3.950-4.020-4.125

Stock picks:
1.     Energi Mega Persada  (ENRG) (BUY) (Target Rp 210) (Close 22/08 Rp 194)
  • Entry (1) Rp 190, Entry (2) Rp 187, Cut loss point: Rp 180.

2.    Astra International (ASII) (BUY): (Target: Rp 70.500) (Close 22/08: Rp 67.750)
  • Entry (1) Rp 67.700, Entry (2) Rp 66.700, Cut loss point: Rp 65.000.

3.    Gudang Garam (GGRM) (BUY): (Target: Rp 56.900) (Close 22/08 Rp 53.950)
  •  Entry (1) Rp 53.625, Entry (2) Rp 51.550, Cut loss point: Rp 49.450

4.    Kalbe Farma (KLBF) (BUY): (Target: Rp 3.550) (Close 22/08 Rp 3.400).
  • Entry: (1) Rp 3.350, Entry (2) Rp 3.250, Cut loss point: Rp 3.175

Rekomendasi HD Capital, 22 Agustus 2011

Rekomendasi HD Capital untuk perdagangan Senin, 22 Agustus 2011
BUY:  BBCA, CPIN,  ASII, BUMI,
  • IHSG close (18-08) 3.842.75(-178.740/-4.43%) (Val.Rp.3.6T)
  • Support: 3.830-3.750-3.650, Resistance: 3.950-4.020-4.125

Stock picks:
1.     Bank BCA (BBCA) (BUY) (Target Rp 8.250) (Close 19/08 Rp 8.200)
  • Entry (1) Rp 8.000, Entry (2) Rp 7.850, Cut loss point: Rp 7.750.

2.    Astra International (ASII) (BUY): (Target: Rp 70.000) (Close 19/08: Rp 66.100)
  • Entry (1) Rp 66.100, Entry (2) Rp 64.000, Cut loss point: Rp 63.000.

3.    Bumi Resources (BUMI) (BUY): (Target: Rp 2.900) (Close 19/08 Rp 2.700)
  • Entry: (1) Rp 2.625, Entry (2) Rp 2.550, Cut loss point: Rp 2.450

4.    Charoen Pokphand (CPIN) (BUY): (Target: Rp 2.750) (Close 19/08 Rp 2.625).
  • Entry: (1) Rp 2.625, Entry (2) Rp 2.550, Cut loss point: Rp 2.375

NALCO plans to invest Rs 16,500 cr in Indonesia

State-owned aluminium producer NALCO plans to invest Rs 57,903 crore by 2020 on expansion, including the setting up of two large aluminium smelters in India and abroad.

The Navratna firm would invest Rs 16,500 crore in Indonesia for setting up a 5 million tonnes (MT) smelter, with 1,250 MW power plant, a report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Coal and Steel said.

It added that the other smelter of the same size would be built in Western Orissa in two phases, with 1,260 MW power plant at an estimated investment of Rs 16,345 crore.

Besides, NALCO has plans to construct a new alumina refinery of 1.4 MT in Andhra Pradesh and 1,000-MW power project as independent power producer.

Both the projects would require an investment of Rs 10,600 crore, the report said, adding that rest of the amount would be spent on existing projects.

Company officials could not be reached for comments on NALCO's mega expansion plans.

In its vision document 2020, the company had said it is targeting a turnover of Rs 25,000 crore by then, with an annual aluminium production capacity of 1.7 million tonnes.

The company had also said that it will create three wholly-owned subsidiaries -- NALCO Metals, NALCO Power and NALCO International -- for entering other non-ferrous metals and energy businesses.

The Orissa-based company, with an alumina refinery capacity of 2.1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and an aluminium smelter of 4.6 MTPA, has recently completed its second phase of expansion at an investment of Rs 4,402 crore.

Besides, it also has Bauxite mining capacity of 6.3 MT and generates 1,200 MW captive power. Source: Economic Times

Bajaj to invest $150 mn in Indonesia plant

Bajaj Auto, India’s second-biggest two-wheeler maker, may set up an assembly plant in Indonesia in a bid to increase presence in Southeast Asia and gain from the lower duty structure in the world’s third-largest market.

Known for its Pulsar brands of bikes, the Pune-based firm is looking to spend $150 million (Rs 675 crore) to set up the facility.

The plant, which would be the company’ first major facility outside India, shall be ready by late 2013, according to Tomotaka Ishikawa, president and director of PT Bajaj Auto Indonesia (PT BAI). The proposal would be approved if the Indonesian unit keeps monthly sales above 3,000 units.

“My target is that by the end of the year we will be convinced to have a complete knock-down operation (in Indonesia),” the Jakarta Post quoted Ishikawa as saying. The factory is likely to produce 100,000 units a year.

However, it’s not clear whether Bajaj Auto would upgrade its existing facility, where it assembles semi-knocked down (SKD) parts, or set up a new one. Bajaj Auto declined comment.

PT BAI, 98.94 per cent owned by Bajaj Auto, assembles and markets Pulsar 135, 180 and 220. The loss-making subsidiary has localised some of the assembly operations to bring down Customs duties. It would continue to pursue the localisation of sub-assemblies further this financial year.

“The Customs duty rates for SKD and CKD (completely-knocked down) operations have been reduced by five per cent from December 2010 by the Indonesian government. With the addition of Pulsar 135 and Pulsar 220 to the model line-up and increased local sub-assembly operations, the subsidiary would be in a position to reduce its losses in 2011-12,” stated Bajaj Auto in its annual report. PT BAI has accrued a loss of Rs 92.17 crore since it began operations in 2006-07. Last year, it posted a loss of Rs 9.35 crore.

The Rajiv Bajaj-led company has been looking to expand its operations outside India, with products which have been successful in the domestic market. The Indonesian two-wheeler market shares a variety of similarities with the Indian market. Last year, the firm sold 81 per cent more bikes in Indonesia at 21,586 units, compared to 11,954 units in the corresponding previous period. Source: Business Standard
