Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) , Indonesia's fourth biggest lender by assets, on Monday reported first-half net profit rose 41 percent as loan growth picked up.
The lender's first half net profit was 2.73 trillion rupiah ($320.2 million), compared with 1.93 trillion rupiah in the same period a year earlier, the bank said in a statement.
BNI's net interest income rose 5 percent to 6.1 trillion rupiah, from 5.8 trillion rupiah a year ago.
BNI shares were flat in the first half of this year, underperforming the broader market which was up five percent. ($1 = 8527 Rupiah). Source: Reuters
