Telekomunikasi Indonesia , Indonesia's biggest telecoms firm, said on Friday that its second quarter net profit fell 4 percent on higher costs.
The firm, which plans to buy a majority stake in Cambodia's largest mobile operator CamGSM, posted 3.11 trillion rupiah ($366 million) net profit in the second quarter, versus 3.23 trillion rupiah in the same period last year.
Telkom was expected to post a full year 2011 net profit of 12.1 trillion rupiah, according to a consensus of analysts by Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Shares in Telkom were up 0.68 percent ahead of the results but traded flat by 0802 GMT. They fell nearly 8 percent in the first half of the year to underperform a Jakarta index up around 5 percent. ($1 = 8497 rupiah). Source: Reuters
