Talisman's Jambi Merang gas project began output in late-April -CEO

Talisman Energy Inc started output at its Jambi Merang natural gas project in Indonesia in late-April, earlier than expected, Chief Executive John Manzoni said on Tuesday.

"It is on budget. A little earlier than expected, it started in late-April," Manzoni told reporters on the sidelines of an industry event in the Malaysian capital.

The project was slated to start in the middle of this year. It is expected to produce 8,000 to 10,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day over the next few years, he said.
